Privacy Policy

DoomIt is an iPhone app that manages social media time as a daily budget. It works without a user account and has no server to send data to. Whatever the app produces stays on your device.

2. What the app stores

On your device, in an app group only DoomIt and its extensions can read:

• Settings — base budget, start and end of your night window.
• Today’s budget — minutes used and remaining.
• Night log — per night hour, whether it was held, and the resulting credit.
• Streak — consecutive days, banked minutes, jokers.
• Completed challenges — which exercise counted how often today.
• Your app selection — as opaque tokens from Apple (see section 3).

None of this leaves the device. It is deleted when you delete the app. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs.

3. Screen Time (Family Controls)

To block apps and measure usage during your night window, DoomIt asks for Screen Time authorisation. You make the selection in Apple’s own picker. The app receives opaque tokens: identifiers with no readable content that can block apps and display their icon, but from which the app cannot determine which apps they are. DoomIt therefore does not learn which apps you block, and cannot.

Usage measurement gives the app threshold events from the system (“the selected apps were in use during this hour”). No log of your activity is created.

4. Camera

For push-ups, squats and the plank the camera counts repetitions or checks your form. Analysis runs entirely on device using Apple’s Vision framework. Frames are neither stored nor transmitted; they go from the sensor into the analysis and are discarded afterwards. The screen stays dark during the exercise and reps are counted out loud.

DoomIt does not access your photo library. If you decline camera access, the same exercises run on a timer.

5. Motion data

For the step challenge DoomIt reads today’s step count via Apple’s CoreMotion. Only the count is read, it stays on the device, and it is used solely to check whether the daily goal has been reached. Without this permission you lose that one challenge and nothing else.

6. Notifications

If you allow notifications, DoomIt reminds you when the night window starts and reports your credit in the morning. Notifications are scheduled locally on the device, not sent through a push service.

7. App Store

Download, payment and any purchases are handled by Apple. Data arising there (such as purchase history or aggregated store statistics) is processed by Apple as its own controller, under Apple’s privacy policy. We receive no personal data about individual users from Apple.

8. This website

When you open this page, the host processes technically necessary access data (IP address, time, requested file, browser type) in order to serve it; the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The site sets no cookies and embeds no analytics or advertising services. Language lives in the path (/ and /en); nothing is stored for it.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, plus the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In practice: because we hold no data about you, we cannot give you information about your usage — that data exists only on your device. You erase it by removing the app.

10. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. Since no data is collected, no profile is created for younger users either.

11. Changes

If what the app processes changes, this page is updated before the release in question ships; the date above states the version.
